About

Based in Milton Keynes, Ceravision Limited is leading the world in the development of UV lighting for horticulture. Our plasma lighting is founded on microwave-powered electrodeless discharges, and can use a large range of light emitters unavailable to conventional discharge lighting systems.

In horticulture, plasma's flexibility in providing tailored spectral distributions, long life, high efficiency and added-value is persuasive.  Plasma lighting lends itself to several other high-output applications including UV-C for air and water sterilisation.

The new UV420 plasma grow-light delivers high levels of UV-B, UV-A and blue light, and is designed to work alongside other grow-lights to deliver the missing 280-550 nm wavelengths: in greenhouses, glass reflects all solar UV-B and no other commercially available grow-lights, including LEDs, can provide such intense UV-B output

UV-B and UV-A influence plant physiology through particular receptors and pigments to enhance nutritional and medicial qualities whilst at the same time deterring pests and pathogens. UV-B can also help sterilise grow-rooms.

In medicinal cannabis cultivation for example, this UV grow-light enhanced flowering and boosted cannabinoid concentrations by up to 40 per cent.

Future Applications

Delivering flexible spectral outputs, plasma lighting offers practical economic solutions in horticulture and other applications requiring natural solar levels of UV-A and UV-B, or UV-C for sterilisation.

Plasma Light Technology

Ceravision’s plasma grow-lights, with a spectrum providing UV-B, UV-A and blue herald a new scientific future in horticulture lighting and UV-B is beneficial for humans producing the vitamin D essential for health.

Intellectual Property

Ceravision maintains an extensive Intellectual Property (“IP”) portfolio comprising Patents, Trade Marks and Design Rights.
